Multimodal Transportation Center

Multimodal Transportation Center at Suvarnabhumi Airport Free Zone was established with an objective to elevate Thailand's transportation and logistics industry to a regional aviation hub. All activities at Multimodal Transportation Center are operated in accordance with Customs Department Notification No. 115/2564 dated 27 July 2021 (B.E 2564), Subject Electronic Customs Procedures for Multimodal Transportation Center, Suvarnabhumi Airport Cargo Clearance Customs Bureau and Customs Department Notification No. 189/2564 dated 8 December 2021 (B.E 2564), Subject Minimum Standards for Customs Control Systems to Support Strict Electronic Customs Procedures Specified by Customs Department. 

Transportation operators who use the services at Multimodal Transportation Center will receive benefits as follows:

• Transportation operators can consolidate import/transit goods in the same truck container in order to carry out the customs procedures for importation or transit at Multimodal Transportation Center instead of conducting the customs procedures at customs checkpoints at the borders.
• Transportation operators can consolidate export/transit goods in the same truck container at Multimodal Transportation Center in order to carry out the customs procedures and export all of the goods to the same foreign destination.
• Transportation operators can move the goods between cargo terminal (Zone 1) and Multimodal Transportation Center (Zone 3).
• Transportation operators can change the transportation modes, switching among road freight, air freight and sea freight.

Multimodal Transportation Center installs various control systems in line with the Customs Department’s regulations. These include inventory control system (E-Inventory), E-lock system (E-Lock), Multimodal Transportation Management System (MTMS), security control system, and infrastructure systems to facilitate the customers. The Multimodal Transportation Center will increase business opportunities for transportation and logistics operators to grow robustly.
