AOTGA collaborates with DIAMONDO Earthrounding for sustainable aviation.

DIAMONDO Earthrounding, a non-profit company that aims to create further awareness for sustainable technologies and promote ways for investing into them voluntarily to accelerate aviation’s path to net-zero carbon emissions. The pilots of the DIAMONDO Earthrounding flight intend to significantly reduce their trip emissions by adding Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) to the aircraft’s fuel tanks as SAF plays a pivotal role in meeting carbon emissions targets. SAF can be produced from various sources such as waste and renewable foodstock. However, many more efforts are needed to meet and achieve net-zero carbon emissions.


 
DIAMONDO Earthrounding has commenced their round-the-world tour since January 2nd from Zurich, Switzerland and arrived at Bangkok (Don Mueang International Airport) on January 18th. Flying in an Easterly direction to 73 airports, 35 countries with 230 flying hours and distance of 51,000 kilometers, they plan to across the Pacific and Atlantic oceans before making their way back to Switzerland on April 22nd, 2022 according to the schedule. AOTGA is collaborating with the DIAMONDO Earthrounding team in connecting and promoting sustainable aviation initiatives. We are extremely proud to support and cooperate with DIAMONDO Earthrounding by offering our ground handling services at Don Mueang International Airport as part of their journey.
 
As a ground handling services provider, AOTGA is firmly committed to minimizing the environmental impact of our operational activities and supporting the Green Airport project for environmental sustainability in aviation. In this regard, we focus on further plan into sustainable technologies, making an effort to replace Ground Support Equipment (GSE) powered by fuel with Electrical GSE as part of our sustainable strategy to minimize carbon footprint and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
