Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, launched a new route from Muscat International Airport (MCT) to Phuket International Airport (HKT).
On November 15, AOT GROUND AVIATION SERVICES (AOTGA) opened for service with Oman Air, flight WY831, which is a new airline customer at Phuket Airport. That has started a new route at 09:40 from Muscat International Airport (MCT) to land at Phuket Airport (HKT) at 18:50 Thailand time with a Boeing 737 Max 8.
The opening of this new route was also welcomed by Mr.Arnupap Rodkwan Yodrabam (Vice-Governor of Phuket), Mr.Monchai Tanode (General Manager of Phuket International Airport), Ms. Konokkorn Purksakit (Vice President of Membership Relations & Registrar), Ms.Woraporn Voratat (Vice President of International Marketing (Asia Pacific), Ms. Somjai Tungkoo (Chairperson of Marketing & Training and Development) and Mr.Kittipong Sraubol (Vice President-Phuket of AOTGA) together with the team organized a welcome ceremony with souvenirs for the representatives of Oman Air and the four top executives from Oman Air :
- Captain Nasser Al Salmi (Chief Operating Officer)
- Mr. Abdullah Al Hadhrami (Vice President Ground Operation)
- Mr. Tariq Al Bulushi (Country Manager Thailand)
- Mr. Zahran Ambusaidi (Regional Airport Services Manager Asia)
Oman Air has destinations covering more than 50 cities around the world and is an airline recognized for its luxury and service until becoming popular with passengers on routes in Europe and Asia. This new route will begin with four flights per week on November 15, 2022, and will continue indefinitely.

The first flight, LO6193, took off in the evening (6:45 p.m.) on November 6 and landed at Phuket International Airport (HKT) at 12:10 p.m. on November 7 (Local time). This is a charter flight flown by a Boeing 788 and serviced by AOT Ground Aviation Services Company Limited (AOTGA).
