Firefly Airlines has opened a new route from Penang International Airport (PEN) to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK). The opening of this new route starts with the first flight on November 3, 2023, flight code FY3632, flying with a Boeing 737-800. It touched down at Don Mueang International Airport at 4:50 p.m. Thailand time and received ground service from AOT Ground Aviation Services Company Limited (AOTGA), which continues to provide ground services at Phuket International Airport (HKT).
Firefly is a low-cost airline. Malaysian nationality, which is a subsidiary airline of Malaysia Airlines, Firefly has opened flight routes to many destinations, such as Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand, with Penang International Airport being the airline's main airport. The opening of additional routes this time expands the airline's service coverage. This is considered a sign that Thailand's transportation and tourism economies are recovering even more.
