Vietnam Airlines is ready to fly from Danang to Don Mueang.

On November 29, 2023, Vietnam Airlines opened flights from Da Nang International Airport (DAD) to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) in response to the increasing trend of tourists wanting to travel to Thailand. The first flight to arrive at Don Mueang International Airport was flight VN629, operated by Airbus 321 and landing at 9:15 p.m., with ground service provided by AOT Ground Aviation Services Company Limited (AOTGA), which has continued to provide charter flight services since March 2023.



To celebrate and welcome this inaugural flight, Vietnam Airlines held a celebration party to thank all involved parties for their support in launching the flight on this route and strengthen the good relationship between Vietnam and Thailand because the opening of this flight route helps connect the tourism and business sectors of the two countries more closely. There were participants from various agencies. To welcome the inaugural flight, the Water Salute was used to welcome the landing of the aircraft and distribute souvenirs to passengers, along with a welcome sign at the arrival gate, which made a great impression on the passengers traveling on the flight.
